Analytical Reflection

In my opinion, team ASTAR did a phenomenal presentation overall. The slides were well designed to support the presentation and are easy to read and understand the content they were delivering. They further clarify and reinforce the spoken message and the pictures further add impact and interest to the overall presentation.  Their tone and pace of the presentation were consistent all throughout and never fail to maintain eye contact with the audience. Not much filler words and Singlish were used. Overall, their delivery was fluent and meaningful. Their topic about food waste was really something close to our hearts as it is something that happens daily for everyone. If it is not contained now the waste would just keep stacking up and would be a major problem for Singapore in the foreseeable future. It was clear that the introduction of the presentation was meant to ensure that they managed to capture the audience full attention.

Apart from the brilliant execution of the presentation, they clearly show a good understanding of the topic and the use of real-life examples to further emphasize that this is a recurring issue. Another impressive quality would be the teamwork. While one speaks, the others sat attentively to support their groupmate. The conclusion they did perfectly sum up the whole presentation and by ending with a quote was like the icing on the cake. Questions that were asked was also answered with little to no difficulty as they have a very good knowledge of the topic. To sum it all up, kudos to ASTAR for the perfectly executed presentation and I personally have learnt on ways to improve on my own presentation based on their performances. With this, it is a wrap for Effective communication and it has been a heck of a run.
